Captain’s log, Stardate 2509.23. The UFP commemorated all our yesterdays--our past 50 years as a club. I am honored to be elected
captain to begin these next 50 years as I follow in the footsteps of great captains like Pike, Janeway and Picard. Oops... wrong United
Federation. I meant to say “follow in footsteps of great captains like Greg Ampagoomian (our first president), Toni Moore and outgoing Captain Dr.
David Williams.” Rounding out the bridge crew is Annette Sexton-Ruiz as First Officer, Dr. Kim Smith as Records Officer and Dr. Dave Williams
as Communications Officer.
It has been a busy past couple of months. We had a trip to Pinetop, a pool party at Kim & Dave’s and our 50th Anniversary Celebration at
Mike and Marcie’s. There are lots of fun activities coming up as well, so check the UFP calendar on the back page of this issue. I look forward to
seeing you all at next event and challenging you with Star Trek trivia.
